Oh boy it's been a while since my last "rough painting"!

At the very start, it was supposed to be a speedpainting, but it took me about 3 hours to finish it...

Here is the mighty LAGIACRUS, one of my favorite beasts from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate! Tigrex Head Animation (Not a relevant MH3U emoticon but still awesome)

This is also the first painting where I didn't use the finger tool :finalfantasyfinger:  in a while! Just the regular brush, nothing more^^

I'm quite happy with the result, in the end it turns out to be a mix of a speedpainting and a study x)

I hope you're gonna like it! <3

Made with Photoshop and fun in about 3 hours.

The style is visually very appealing, and the blurring effect gives a sense of well-captured motion. The lighting is nice, giving highlight to the center of focus. The whole thing gives a nice imposing aura, just what you'd expect from the Lagiacrus. Overall a very nice piece, hope to see more like it. The pose is great, showing off Lagiacrus's jaws, horns, claws and tail very easily. The flow of the pose is also good, a very realistic position for a monster with high mobility and flexibility. The eyes give a small yet stark contrast to the rest of the body, which are a perfect touch to make this piece chilling. However, I do have some critiques. The blurring effect is very nice, however the transition into it is a little sudden, and although the lighting is nice, it doesn't quite match with the "sunlight through water" theme it seems to convey. However, these are but minor nitpicks for a wonderful piece. I can't wait to see more like this, and more from you.
