The instant you see this illustration, you're drawn (pun not intended) to the orange of the full moon, which introduces your attention to looking at the spires of the Nightmare, and in this does the artist give you walkways that lead your vision towards the intricate details of the fell castle, till you come to realize how amazingly defined all the bent shapes, twisted shades, and pale highlights have been made to complement each other in a sight of pure, youthful terror.
A masterpiece close to perfection...wonder if it'll dance with the devil in the pale moon night?
